Made-to-measure suits, cut for how you actually live
A Finest Form suit is built from your measurements, your posture, and your preferences, not pulled from a rack and pinned. Half-canvas and full-canvas construction, fitted privately in Back Bay.
What made-to-measure actually means
Off-the-rack assumes you match a pattern. Made-to-measure starts from a base block and adjusts it to your body — sleeve pitch, shoulder slope, waist suppression, trouser rise, so the garment sits correctly from the first wear. It's the closest thing to bespoke at a fraction of the time and cost, and for most men it's indistinguishable in the result.
Every commission is fitted in person. You choose the cloth, the construction, the lining, the lapel, the buttons — and Finest Form translates those choices into a pattern made for you alone.
The process
01
Consultation & measurement
A private appointment to understand how you'll wear the suit, take a full set of measurements, and select cloth from the mill library.
02
Pattern & construction
Your measurements are translated into an individual pattern and the garment is cut and constructed in your chosen canvas.
03
Fitting & refinement
You try the garment on and any adjustments are marked, so the fit is dialed in rather than assumed.
04
Delivery & reorder
Your finished suit is delivered, and your pattern is kept on file — future commissions skip straight to cloth selection.

Common questions
How long does a commission take?
Typically about a month from first fitting to delivery, depending on cloth and construction. Your consultation will give you a precise timeline.
What's the difference between half- and full-canvas?
Half-canvas uses a canvas layer through the chest and lapels; full-canvas extends it through the entire jacket front, so it molds to you over time. Full-canvas is the higher benchmark; half-canvas is the better value for most starting wardrobes.
Do you come to me?
I do what is most convenient for you. I will travel all over Boston & New England to meet you at your office or home. If you would prefer to meet in a more neutral location I will make that accommodation as well.
Do you keep my measurements for reorders?
Yes. Once your pattern is established, future orders skip straight to cloth selection.
